John Dean

John joined Anfinson Thompson in 2014. Prior to that time, he owned an insurance agency and financial advising firm. He entered the financial services industry in 1972. John has lived in Willmar since 1954 and served as Board Chair of the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, Barn Theatre, Willmar Concert Series, and co-chair of the local United Way. He is an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church. He has been involved in numerous performing groups both in Willmar and Minneapolis. 

John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Cloud University, a Masters of Science of Financial Services, and a Masters of Science in Management from The American College. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and taught many industry courses. He has been active in his professional association at the local, state, and national level. John specializes in helping clients protect assets and provide income when they are lost due to death, disability, retirement, or a long-term care health event.
